The Paper 2 Assignment is an essay where one can write two different topics about self with family. The first option to write the paper is how a particular relationship with a family member influences who I am today. While the alternative choice is how a certain experience which involved my family has affected my relationships with particular family members. Although both of these choices would be interesting to write about, I chose to take the first option for Paper 2. The relationship that I am going to focus on is my bond with dear old dad. My dad and I are very close and get along extremely well. I am excited to write this essay because my dad and I have had many interesting experiences which should make for a great piece of text. This paper should be fun, but also difficult to write about. Due to the fact, there are so many experiences to choose from and I am going to have to jog my memory for the most significant and interesting ones. Through writing this paper, I anticipate that I will learn some new aspects and factors that go into my relationship with my father. In addition, I expect to see more of who I truly am as a person. Hopefully, this paper will turn out as fascinating as I imagine it could be because I am going to put maximum effort into it.
I like the Paper two assignments. I think the purpose of the assignment is to get a closer look into how our relationships at home have affected who we are today. I like how this assignment does not set a limit to the length we can go. I believe by not having a page limit it will be much easier to go into detail and explain different experiences to the fullest. I think the paper two assignment will be a lot more personal than my paper one assignment because families tend to be rather complex and a lot more personal in my opinion. I think after doing the workshops and seeing the peer reviews from the paper one assignment, I believe the paper two assignment will have much more fluidity and substance to it. I look forward to writing this paper, however I do believe that recalling some memories and events will be extremely personal and hard to explain on paper.

It was also really nice that even the two seperate assignments were structured but quite broad, allowing room for creativity. Although some people would have a problem with writing about their families, I find it a good experience for us to actually define ourselves which is the purpose of the assignment. I am actually writing about a negative thing that has occured in the past of my family that had a positive effect so I'm really excited so far.
